Penelope

Penelope

This piece was inspired by Homer's iliad, The Odyssey. The illustration depicts Odysseus's wife Penelope waiting for her husband to return from the Trojan War. For those of you that have forgotten, it takes Odysseus 10 years to make his way back home. The Daughter's of Penelope, the Nevada Chapter, recently used this image to grace last years brochure.

The Quail's Secret

The Quail's Secret

With the coming of fall, it is only natural we begin to look forward to the arrival of the holidays. If you look closely, the Spirit of Christmas is hidden under your nose in the most unlikely of places. The Quail's Secret is dedicated to the Spirit of Christmas found in nature and the gift of hope that everyone experiences on Christmas morning.

Midnight Snack

Midnight Snack

A piece dear to my heart... this creature is a hybrid (Fruit Bat and an Angler Fish). It lures in its prey in with a deceitful light attached to its head... like a moth to a flame.

Created using canvas board, acrylic and watercolor. Don Roger's technique class at it's best.
